Iron ore prices decline on eve of holidays
Seaborne iron ore prices plunged last Friday to their lowest level since November as the demand side entered the holiday season.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and the KORE 65% Fe index gained $0.88/t but fell $0.61/t respectively on Thursday to $133.51/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $145.89/dmt cfr. The KORE 58% Fe index meanwhile declined by $1.48/t to $120.85/dmt cfr. 77,000 tonnes of Carajas Fines were booked at $139.25/t with shipment in February.
