Iron ore plummets with lower scrap price
Seaborne iron ore and Chinese scrap prices fell sharply on Friday, and the sharp drop in Thursday's futures further hit market confidence.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index slipped $14.47/tonne to $166.54/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao. The Kallanish KORE 65% Fe index dropped $16.93/t to $197.11/dmt cfr, and the KORE 58% Fe index fell $11.81/t to $137.95/dmt cfr.
