Iron ore market remains flat

Seaborne iron ore prices remained steady on Tuesday as the market took it now-traditional early-October breather. The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines barely moved again, slipping slightly by $0.05 to $54.65/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. Iron ore was also quiet on the Singapore Futures Exchange. The index last peaked at $62.25/dmt on 22 August since when the price has trickled down to its current level, which is the lowest since mid-July. Longer term…
