Iron ore market quietens as Chinese holiday begins

Seaborne Iron ore prices upticked for the second successive day on Monday as the Chinese National Day holiday began in earnest. The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index rose by $1.36/tonne to $93.33/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. The Dalian Commodity Exchange was closed for trading. On the Singapore Exchange October 62% Fe futures settled up by $0.26/t to $88.78/t. In Tangshan billet prices remained at Monday’s level of CNY 3,400/t ($476/t) …
