Iron ore loses ground as steelmaking margins narrow

Seaborne iron ore prices extended their losses on Wednesday, as the continued depreciation of the yuan put pressure on Chinese steel mills' imports of raw materials. The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index declined $2.68/tonne on Wednesday to $93.19/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao.
