Iron ore hits $140
Seaborne iron ore has hit $140/tonne for 62% Fe grade, despite Chinese mills announcing production cuts.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and the KORE 65% Fe index were boosted by $1.53/t and $1.49/t respectively on Tuesday to $140.5/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $151.8/dmt cfr. The KORE 58% Fe index was $0.45/t higher at $130.32/dmt cfr.
