Iron ore gains further as buying continues
Seaborne iron ore prices gained further on Friday as Chinese steelmakers continue to restock, especially high grade ore. With steelmaking margins still in place and sentiment strong, buying is expected to continue in the short term.
The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines upticked to $50.28/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao after Thursday's fall back. No trades were seen on globalORE but futures prices continued to show a marked increase.
