Iron ore flattens as China holidays
Seaborne iron ore prices have remained flat as expected over the Labour Day holiday period in China.
The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines hardly moved, gaining just $0.02/tonne on Monday and $0.10 on Tuesday to end at $65.54/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. The Dalian Commodity Exchange was closed, but on the Singapore Exchange May 62% Fe futures rose by $0.24/t on 30 April but then fell back by $0.11 on 1 May to $65.67/t.
