Iron ore falls to 4-month low

Seaborne iron ore futures and spot prices tumbled sharply on Monday as Chinese steel mills' slow resumption of production led to lower than expected iron ore consumption. The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and the KORE 65% Fe index slumped by $4.52/t and $4.56/t respectively on Monday to $117.1/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $129.8/dmt cfr.
