Iron ore drops, mills cut production
Seaborne iron ore prices repeated the previous day's losses on Wednesday, as steel mills' maintenance hit expectations for iron ore demand.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index lost $0.68/tonne on Wednesday to $90.94/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao. The Kallanish KORE 65% Fe index was $0.74/t lower at $103.26/dmt cfr, but the KORE 58% Fe index lost $0.05/t to $83.33/dmt cfr.
