Iraqi rebar demand outperforms neighbours
Rebar prices in Iran's domestic market have inched up slightly, while Iraqi rebar demand is picking up significantly, Kallanish notes.
Last week's price was at IRR 141,284/kg ($516/tonne); however, today's price is pegged at IRR 144,954/kg ($523) ex-works for 12-32mm A3 rebar, excluding 9% VAT.
Some export deals have been concluded at $610/t delivered at the Iraq border.
The Iranian riyal depreciated on Monday to 277,000 per dollar.
