Iran's Neyriz eyes output growth, foresees DRI shortage
Neyriz Ghadir Steel Company increased direct reduced iron production 25% on-year in the three months through 21 June, the first quarter of the Iranian calendar year, to 219,346 tonnes.
The firm plans to produce 800,000t of DRI in the Iranian year through 20 March 2021 after producing only 682,000t in the previous year due to pellet shortages and supply problems, Kallanish notes.
