Iranian mills increase billet export volumes, target prices
Iranian mills are shifting billet allocation to exports as a subdued domestic semis market coincides with a cold winter, resulting in natural gas restrictions affecting supply.
Last week, Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) completed a billet export tender for 50,000 tonnes at $490/tonne fob Iran for shipment in the second half of February. This is $9/t above Chadarmolu's billet export tender closed two weeks ago, notes Kallanish.
