Iranian flats imports plummet, rebar production grows
Iranian finished steel imports fell -53% on-year in the ten months through 20 January to 881,000 tonnes, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) data monitored by Kallanish.
Hot rolled coil imports fell -63% to 285,000t and cold rolled coil intake dropped -56% to 256,000t. Hot-dip galvanized coil imports declined -35% to 223,000t.
