Flats drive Iranian first-quarter output, despite semis slump
Iranian finished steel output increased by 1.2% on-year to 6.02 million tonnes in the first quarter of the Iranian calendar year – 20 March-20 June. Long steel production declined 2.8% to 3.31mt, but this was offset by flats output growth of 6.6% to 2.71mt, Kallanish notes.
