Iranian exports slump despite increased production
Iranian steel exports slumped -32% on-year in the four months through 21 July to 2.24 million tonnes, says the Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA). This came despite a 9% growth in crude steel output in the period.
This compares to a -35% drop in exports and 3% growth in crude steel output after three months (see Kallanish passim).
