Iranian billet quotes drop amid global price slide
Iranian billet export prices have plummeted $40-50/tonne on-week, Kallanish learns.
Last week, a trader concluded a 150mm 3sp billet deal at $568/t fob Iran. However, this week a mill finalised its 30,000-tonne billet tender for 150mm 3sp grade at around $520-525/t fob, for May shipment. A source familiar with the issue says the latest billet deal was concluded at $518/t fob.
