Iranian billet decline pulls down Oman, UAE prices
Billet prices in United Arab Emirates and Oman have slid due to lower billet quotes in Iran. Following a billet tender finalised in Iran last Saturday at $445-450/tonne fob Bander Abbas, a 30,000-tonne cargo has been allocated for the UAE and Oman markets. An additional freight cost of $18-20/t is added from Iran to UAE/Oman on a free-out basis, Kallanish learns.
