Iranian billet prices soften, rebar up; Iraq stable

In Iran, 3sp grade 150mm square billet export prices have fallen $20-30/tonne to $610-620/t from $630-640/t fob Iranian ports, after China lost its buying appetite since last week. In the domestic market, mills are quoting 12-32mm A3 rebar at IRR 147,706,000/tonne ($535) ex-works, excluding 9% VAT, meaning a $3-5/t increase in two weeks.
