Iranian 11-month apparent steel consumption declines
Iranian apparent steel consumption decreased 15% on-year in the 11 months through 19 February, or first 11 months of the Iranian calendar year beginning 21 March 2021, notes Kallanish.
11-month semi-finished steel apparent consumption fell 15% to 18.7 million tonnes, with slab declining 9% to 8.2mt and billet and bloom dropping 20% to 10.5mt, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) data posted on its online Chilan portal.
