Iran National Steel Industrial Group denies shutdown
Iran National Steel Industrial Group (Insig) has not partially ceased production, contrary to recent media reports, the firm’s chairman, Hamid Mahmoudi, says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
Ahvaz-based Insig has instead signed a tolling agreement to convert up to 2,000 tonnes/day of billet into long products for merchant semis producer Khouzestan Steel (KSC), according to Mahmoudi.
