Iran lifts Middle East DRI again in May
Iranian direct reduced iron ore production surged for a second consecutive month in May, by 37% on-year to 1.43 million tonnes. This offset declines in the other three Middle Eastern countries covered by worldsteel’s monthly report monitored by Kallanish, taking regional production up 11% in May to 2.24mt.
