Iranian three-month exports surge
Iranian steel exports in the first quarter of the Iranian year, or three months through 20 June, soared 74% on-year to 2.491 million tonnes, the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) says on its online Chilan portal.
Three-month semi-finished steel exports surged 55% to 1.61mt, driven by a 176% leap in slab exports to 563,000t, whereas billet and bloom shipments rose by 26% to 1.05mt, Kallanish notes.
