Iran drives strong Mid-East 2020 production growth start
Crude steel production in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by worldsteel’s monthly report started 2020 strongly, rising 29.5% on-year in January to 3.84 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. This follows a 20.5% on-year increase in full-year 2019 to 42.9mt, a new annual record.
