Iran drives further Mid-East production surge in February
Crude steel production in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by worldsteel’s monthly report grew 23% on-year in February to 3.6 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
The region’s largest producer, Iran, is estimated to have grown output 34% to 2.7mt, taking January-February production up 40.5% on-year to 5.61mt.
