Iran concludes billet tenders, bids lower than expectations
Various Iranian steelmakers held billet tenders this week after the Nowruz holiday, but mills were left disappointed as they were expecting bids at $710-720/tonne fob Iran but concluded at $682-695/t fob levels. Sources tell Kallanish mills nevertheless tried to talk up the market by spreading rumours of higher tender transaction levels.
