Iran adds DRI capacity, expands domestic technology
Six new Midrex direct reduced iron modules are under construction in Iran, which will add to the country’s DRI production growth of 10.9% on-year in 2019, says the technology supplier. Iran’s DRI output was 28.5 million tonnes last year, with most Midrex plants operating at or very near full capacity utilisation.
