IOC to dig new pit near Labrador City
The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) plans to spend CAD 79 million ($60.24m) to redevelop its Labrador City operation, Kallanish reports.
The redevelopment includes a new pit dubbed Wabush 3 to “… extend the life of the mine, reduce operating costs and increase production of quality grade iron ore concentrates and pellets,” the company says.
