Inventory concerns weigh on US OCTG prices
US oil country tubular goods prices are under renewed pressure due to year-end inventory concerns, Kallanish learns from market sources.
“Everyone’s focused on inventory reduction by year-end, so there’s lots of downward pressure,” says one Gulf Coast buyer. “Watch the Q1 tubing supply and price movement driven by demand. If hot-rolled pricing sticks, Q1 casing could see an upward bump after the New Year.”
