Inventory anchors US OCTG prices
Oil country tubular good prices are still being weighed down by a glut of excess inventory, market sources tell Kallanish.
One mill source puts general J55 casing ex-works mill pricing at around $800-850/short ton, while premium P110 shale casing is closer to $1,150/st.
Both mill prices, however, are being heavily undercut by distributors looking to shed inventory. In the case of P110, some distributors are willing to make deals at $1,000/st, the source says.…
