Interpipe’s steel production falls, railway sales ramp up
Ukrainian pipemaker Interpipe decreased crude steel production in January-May, the company says. The volume amounted to 333,200 tonnes, down by -17% on-year, Kallanish notes. The output of pipe fell by -34% to 194,200t.
However, the enterprise increased the production of railway products in January-May by 13% on-year to 89,600t.
In May alone the company produced 60,800t of steel, 40,000t of railway products and 17,600t of pipe.
