Insteel sees increase in first quarter income
US reinforcing wire producer Insteel Industries nearly doubled its first-quarter earnings year-on-year, though it expects weather-related slowdowns in Q2, Kallanish learns from the company’s quarterly earnings review.
Insteel collected net earnings of $8.1 million on sales of $97.7m in the fiscal quarter ended 30 December, up from earnings of $4.5m on sales of $93.9m in fiscal Q1 2017.
