Industry challenges lower Glencore ferrochrome output guidance
Glencore has given an attributable ferrochrome production guidance of 1.34 million tonnes for 2020, down from confirmed output of 1.44mt in 2019. This was in turn down -9% from 2018.
The 2019 decline mainly reflected additional maintenance days taken opportunistically in the third quarter during a period of high energy costs and low selling prices, Glencore says.
