Vale Indonesia plans ferronickel plant
PT Vale Indonesia (INCO) plans to invest several billions of dollars to build two nickel plants in Sulawesi, Indonesia. The final investment decision will be made by the end of 2021, Kallanish notes.
The two plants will be in Pomalaa and Bahodopi. INCO plans to invest $2.5 billion and $1.5 billion in each of these two smelters, and expects to put them into operation in 2024-2025.
