Indonesian ferronickel production defies Covid-19 to increase
Indonesian output of nickel products in 2020 increased significantly, despite the impact of Covid-19, says energy and mineral resources (ESDM) minister Ridwan Djamaluddin.
Kallanish learns from ESDM data that in 2020, Indonesia's ferronickel production was 1.46 million tonnes, reaching 112.3% of its annual production target. The output of nickel pig iron (NPI) was 860,500 tonnes, which was 136.9% of the set target.
