Indonesia proposes nickel producer bloc to Canada
Indonesian investment minister Bahlil Lahadalia met Canadian international trade minister Mary Ng at the G20 summit in Bali on Tuesday, and raised the proposal that the two countries could work together to build a global nickel producers' bloc.
Lahadalia said creating an organisation of nickel producers "similar to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)" could "coordinate and integrate nickel policy”.
