Indonesia lifts nickel ore benchmark price
Indonesia's energy and mineral resources ministry says it will lift the floor price on nickel ore in February amid rising demand in the country, Kallanish notes.
The minimum prices for ore with a nickel content of 1.7%, 1.8%, 1.9% and 2% are $37.34/wet metric tonne fob, $41.74/wmt fob, $46.37/wmt fob and $51.26/wmt fob, respectively. These are up by $1.91/wmt, $2.14/wmt, $2.37/wmt and $2.62/wmt respectively.
