Indonesia increases tariffs on mineral concentrates
Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has released an update on export tariffs for mining exporters.
Based on the document PMK 71/2023, the Indonesian government has now set the tariff or export duties for processed metal mineral products based on the smelter development progress. Raw materials are only allowed to be exported to fund the development of smelting capacity, requiring a minimum of 50% completion of the project before exports are allowed.
