Indonesia increases nickel ore export quota
According to market sources, Indonesian mining companies Ifishdeco and Aneka Tambang (Antam) have obtained new nickel ore export quotas for 1.5 million wet metric tons/year and 2.7 million wmt/y respectively, Kallanish notes.
Ifishdeco had already received a total of 2.49m wmt/y of nickel ore export quotas by early May, including 990,000 wmt/y approved in December last year. This is in addition to the 1.5m wmt/y of new quota.
