Indonesia’s GRP eyes second-quarter blast furnace commissioning
Indonesian privately-owned steel producer PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) plans to commission one 580 cubic-metre blast furnace in the second quarter, if all construction goes according to plan.
This would expand the steelmaker's effective steelmaking capacity by 700,000 tonnes/year and supplement the operations of its two existing electric arc furnaces, Kallanish notes from the company.
