Indonesia’s GRP exports first steel to New Zealand
Indonesian privately-owned steel producer PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk (GRP) exported its first steel to New Zealand on 26 July.
The transaction is for 3,800 tonnes of structural steel and steel plate, bringing the company about $4 million in revenue, Kallanish notes. The steel exported by GRP will be used in the construction of local hospitals, universities, airports, shopping malls and other construction projects in New Zealand.
