Indonesia AKP targets 40% nickel ore production hike
PT Adhi Kartiko Pratam (AKP) in Indonesia aims to produce up to 2.5 million tonnes of nickel ore in 2023, an increase of 40% compared with guidance for this year, Kallanish learns.
The production increase is related to a boost in AKP’s nickel ore reserves to 25mt, according to director Ense da Cunha Solapung. “The age of the mine has also been increased to ten years from the previous estimate of nine years.”
