India's TCIL sees tinplate profits surge
The Tinplate Company of India Limited (TCIL) produced a stronger operating performance on-year in the first quarter of its 2017-2018 financial year ending 30 June, Kallanish notes. Although total income from operations (comprising sales and conversion charges) fell quarter-on-quarter, it surged year-on-year, while profit for the period also grew strongly on the same basis.
