India’s October crude steel production rises, consumption plunges
Indian crude steel production grew 2.42% on-year to 9.79 million tonnes in October, against 9.56mt last year, according to worldsteel data. Output also grew 3.47% on-month against 9.47mt in September. India produced 96.93mt of crude steel in January-October, up by 21% on-year, Kallanish notes.
