India’s May automotive production, deliveries surge
Indian automotive output surged 59% on-year to 1,965,541 units in May, against 806,755 units produced in the same period last year, reports the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
Last year’s production was significantly impacted due to nationwide Covid-19 lockdowns. On-month, output grew only marginally, by 5% against 1,874,461 units produced in April. Output includes passenger vehicles (PV), commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers…
