India’s HRC exports and imports surge in January
Indian hot rolled coil exports in January surged 94.25% on-month to 390,048 tonnes, according to customs data accessed by Kallanish.
Meanwhile, HRC imports also soared, by 92.06% on-month to 296,325t in January.
The data covers HS code heading 7208, with 720837, 720838 and 720839 the most traded codes. These codes cover HR carbon steel coil and sheet up to 10mm thick and over 600mm wide, and HRC coils and sheets, excluding stainless products.
