India’s December automotive production falls marginally, sales increase
Indian automotive output dropped marginally, by 5% on-year, to 1,557,238 units in December, against 1,638,111 units produced in the same period a year earlier, reports the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
On-month, output plunged by 24% against 2,042,575 units produced in November. Output includes passenger vehicles (PV), commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers and quadricycles.
