India’s BCCL sees rise in coking coal output
Coal India’s subsidiary Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL)’s coking coal production surged 61% on-year to 3.2 million tonnes in February, against 2mt produced a year earlier.
BCCL’s April 2021-February 2022 production grew 21.6% to 26.6mt, against last year’s 21.9mt.
The coal miner’s sales increased 68.5% to 2.9mt in February alone and grew 42.5% to 28.9mt in April 2021-February 2022, Kallanish notes.
