India’s April coking coal production plunges dramatically
Indian coking coal production plummeted 48.45% on-month to 3.66 million tonnes in April, against 7.1mt produced a month earlier. Production, however, grew 13.73% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL) was the largest producer of coking coal last month, producing 2.4mt against the monthly target of 2.7mt. Other major producers included CCL (1.23mt), SECL (0.02mt) and WCL (0.01mt).
