India's Apollo Tubes plans new pipe mill
APL Apollo Tubes Limited (APL) is setting up a new pipe mill at Raipur, Chhattisgarh, as part of its expansion plan to meet growing demand, the Indian electric resistance welded pipemaker says.
The mill, an INR 75 crore ($11.3 million) investment, will produce up to 60,000 tonnes/year of galvanized welded tube, hollow sections and galvanized sheet. The plant is expected to commence production in the quarter through June 2017.
